In Science, we have been learning about 'Light'.

This week, we thought about sun safety and how the sun can be dangerous to our skin and eyes.

We made a short video telling people why the sun is dangerous and how we can protect our eyes from being damaged by sunlight.

Working on a building site

This week, in Music, Year 3 learned a song about working on a building site.

They had to think about the types of tools and sounds that they would see and hear while on a building site and then these got put into a song.

Here are some videos showing us performing the song once we had learned it.

We have now added the use of musical instruments and actions to our song. Have a look and see what you think.

Roadtrip to USA Homework

Next term, we will be starting our new topic of 'Roadtrip to USA'.

To help you prepare for this, please do some research into the USA.

You may present your research in any way you like (poster, powerpoint, non-chronological report, leaflet, poster, etc) but try to be as creative as possible!

Here are some ideas that you might like to research (but you may come up with some of your own if you wish):

  • Largest/important cities
  • Famous landmarks
  • Famous people
  • Rivers and lakes
  • Mountains and forests (National Parks)
  • Animals
Below are some websites and video clips you may find useful.

I look forward to seeing them after the Easter break.
